Due to the State of Wisconsin's Emergency Order prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people, our meetings have moved online to the Zoom video conferencing platform.  To receive a meeting list with ID numbers and passcodes, please complete the form below.  Be sure to include your email address so we can send you the list.  We are handling requests this way in order to protect the anonymity of all AA members attending the meetings.

Dear Friends,

As your DCM, and speaking on behalf of District 02, we are in dire need of your support during this challenging time. Most of you already know there has been a lot of work behind the scenes in creating District-wide online meetings. They are up and running – thank you all! Many of us are well connected, but there are many who are being left behind.

The initial push is behind us but your help and ongoing support is critical to accomplish the next steps that we need to take. Those of you who may have been displaced from work and are looking for a way to fill your hours, we could REALLY use your help.

We are looking to create the following teams:

Communications Team: creating & writing announcements, procedures, proofreading documents, emails, formats for the following platforms - email, Facebook and the website.

Webmaster Team: webmaster is needed ASAP to work collaboratively with the current webmaster who has been supporting us at this time. This is a critical communication link requiring frequent updates on the District 02 website. The website is hosted on Go Daddy.

Phone List Mobilization Team: reaching out to people on phone lists who may not be connected through social media or Zoom and are therefore currently unaware of the resources available today or how to access them.

Response Team: GSRs, LCMs, Officers, Committee chairs, Group Contacts etc. from District 02 – mobilizing to make sure communications are disseminated to their groups.

12 Step Team: Establishing bi-directional communication to get consistent info to and from the Hotline, Central Office, and Clubs.

Technology, Zoom and Dial-up Online Meetings Support Team: people who are willing to help those trying to use technology through a phone or a computer.

Online Meeting Host Team: making sure host slots are filled, serving as primary contact for meeting host, maintain host contact list Information Hub: main contact person to field and re-direct questions from the District 02 website.

We are putting these teams together as there is much work yet to be done! If you are available to serve please reach out to us on the District 02 website in the Contact Us form at the bottom of the home page.

Please include:

Name

Phone number

Email address

Home Group (if you would like to rally to support)

Team / Committee you are interested in serving on

Serving others is a powerful way to stay connected. Please consider stepping up and joining one of the teams listed above. Sign up on the District 02 website.

Please take a minute to thank all those who are putting in many hours of work to keep us connected! Thank you for letting me be of service.

Bob H – DCM

We're Glad You're Here!

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
